BIGEYECRAPPIEMAN TOURNAMENT RESULTS HARRIS LAKE NC 2-3-24

THE FIRST BigEyeCrappieMan Event of the 2024 Season is in the Books. The Shoot Out at the Smoke Stack. And I mean almost literally at the smoke stack as 90 % of the Teams were right there at The Shearon Harris Steam Stack working those LiveScope Sonars to Zero in on those Big Eye Crappie. Lots of Big Beautiful Healthy Crappie were brought to the scales to be weighed. Some released and some saved for the frying Pan. The day started out cold but no wind. Then a light wind out of the Northeast started to push the Boats around a little. Then the Wind backed off to almost slick after 1:00pm.

It was a head to head battle of some of the Best Crappie Anglers in the State of NC. The BigeyeCrappieman Series is not an Event where lots of Money is Won. It’s a Small Entry Fee of $25.00 for Each Team. It's not Money these guys are after it’s the Idea of Competing against the best Area Anglers in the The Oldest Active Crappie Fishing Tournament Series in The State of NC. To Win these Events you know when you win you out fished the very best the Area has to offer. After the Event is over before any Prize is awarded there is Scripture read from Gods Holy Word and a brief sharing of God’s Love, Grace, Wisdom and Mercy is Shared.

30 Teams showed up Saturday to compete on Harris Lake. It was one of the States Best Anglers Mr. Hunter Burris who Bested the field with 7 Harris Lake Monsters who pushed the Scales down to 13.36 lbs to Finish in First Place. 2ndPlace went to Team Jesus of Anthony Blanding and Edwardo Bunting who had 12.57 lbs. 3rd Place went to Eddie and Scott Clifton the Father and Son Team had 12.36 lbs 4th Place went to Chad and Cameron Pearce who had 12.17 lbs 5th Place went to Matt McCracken and Austin Hill who had 12.16 pounds and Rounding out the Top 6 was the Team of Bryan Perry and Jonathan Rimmer with 11.88 lbs and The Big Fish of The Day was a Beautiful Big Crappie weighing in at 2.27 lbs Caught by Team Roxboro The Person County Slab Sniper The one and Only Cody Moody and His Grandpa Eddie Moody. Also a Fishing Rod was given away along with a $50.00 Cash Prize to the Youngest Angler Charles Brown donated by Newly Montgomery of The Yadkin River Crappie Trail Series.

It was a Great Blessing to see all the guys again with lots of new teams and new faces. In our Devotion time after all the fished were weighed in and our Team calculated all the scores we shared from Gods Word in Genesis 1:20 and before we read from the Word the Theme for the Tournament yesterday was the word FIRST. I asked the guys what was something they did today that was a First for them. Some said they fished a Bigeyecrappiemman Event for the first time. Some said they fished with a Certain Partner , some caught a 2 pounder. Some the First time on Harris Lake . One said he fished with his future Father in law for the first time. ( Newly & Tyler) and it was my first time fishing while I watched a LiveScope Screen. I asked the Guys if they knew what was the First Creature God Created after He made the world and the Universe. It was a Fish and the things that swim in the water. So there is a Chance the First Fish God made could have been a Crappie. They sure Taste Heavenly. We talked about the First Born. How everybody born on earth represents the First Born person ever, Adam. Adam brought Sin and death upon the world. We must be Born again Spiritually to enter Heaven. We do that by Trusting in Jesus Christ as our Savior. That He Died on the Cross for our sins. He paid the price with his life , with his blood. He died in our place. Took the Penalty for our sins. And Gods Word says “ By His wounds we are healed “Thank You Jesus. All First Born will die. Only those Born again will be Saved. Romans 10:9 says “ If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead you will be Saved “ I hope all you guys are believers so we can spend Eternity together forever.
