Had a good buddy heading to Key West stop by the house on his way through and wanted to fish so we did. It was cold, water was stained, but light wind. Found the Fish are still deep in that 37 foot of water. Very scattered had to keep the TM on high to find targets. I also tried some standing timber in 20 fow but didn't see many so went back to the deep water. Yesterday it seemed they wanted a little action in the jig. If they didn't follow it hard they weren't going to bite. Most fish were 1-1.5 lbs didn't see any real big ones. All fish caught were released. Best seven went 9+ lbs. Not a bad day, afternoon turned out really pretty.
If you don't have Livescope I would put my baits right at the shad level and go real slow. Even with livescope I couldn't see the crappie when they were in with the shad because they were so thick! I saw less crappie than last time but since it was only my second time on the lake I'm not sure of the seasonal patterns. I would hope they will become more concentrated as it gets closer to spring. Good luck if you go.
Nice outing. Thanks for having us along.

Great post! Looks like Sharon Harris has improved as a fishery. Never hooked any Slabs like that when I lived in Fayetteville and fished there. Congratulations
