Default Back on High Rock yesterday

Good day yesterday! We didn’t keep count of how many we caught but we brought 17 home that were over 10 inches. Catch to keep ratio was probably 7-8:1. Lots of 9-9.5 inchers were caught. The fish are heavily in the creeks and feeding well. One creek we visited had 8 other boats in it and everyone seemed to be catching some.

Hoping to get out there this week. Any area you’d recommend for a guy in kayak?

Dave, I believe all the rain will make a muddy/trashy mess. If you go, make sure you try the coves in Abbott’s creek.

I also shoulda mentioned the hwy 8 bridge was loaded with boats too. That’s usually an indication of good fishing there too…

What kind of boat were you in? I was there Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

I was in a Stratus 201 pro. (my buddies boat)
He likes taking his rig as it has a 12 inch screen and mine is a 9 inch. That makes a big difference in watching livescope!

Im sure I saw yall. I was in a tan/brown/white ranger z21 with a Merc. I stayed in Abbotts all day saturday, but never had any boats real close to me except one ranger aluminum boat that trolled by.
