Got out yesterday. On the water and fishing by daybreak, off around 11:00 A.M. with my fish, all between 10-12" with only a couple overs caught and thrown back.

Started on brush with very little action.....fish were there but very lethargic, definitely not in attack mode. Poked around a few docks and picked a few up. Finally set up in the mouth of a cove and found a good number of schools that were just cruising so I cruised with them. I didn't keep count of total catch but I'd say I was in that 50-60 fish caught range.

Always a bit of a head scratcher when you are confident in your starting spots and it doesn't pan out but it's fishin.

    Google Maps

Thanks. my daughter lives in Charlotte. I go visit half dozen times per year …….have only kayaks now. May look to buy a 16’ fishing boat this year. Would have to find a place to store it. HOAs don’t let daughter park boat in driveway

So far ive only fished Wylie.

All my fishing boats are in Syracuse. In my barn and side yard . lol

If you were on HR, it's not surprising at all that you didn't see action on brush. Brush bite tends to taper off in October there, depending on water temps and clarity. This time of year the vast majority of the fish in HR are suspended.

I don't doubt what you're saying cause I know you know the lake way better than me but my expectations of brush were set by an outing ~2 weeks ago where the brush bite was absolute fire. It all changes, every day and good for me to have to adapt on the fly.

Lotta structure in play out there with the lake this low. Be careful, fellas.
