    Default Cranks on High Rock

Anybody pulling any last few weeks? Been about a month since I have been. Thought about trying them on Saturday. Does the water look ok after that big rain last week? Figured it was probably back to normal or close. Thanks for any info.

Got out last Sunday (late) for me, primarily to burn some boat gas.... think I was on the water by 10:00 A.M. Water clarity was really good, just some trash and I had 82* temps. Still cranking conditions however, gut said go to brush so I did. Might seem early but brush seems to be loading up a bit as there were solid amounts of fish on every pile I stopped at. Only fished from 10:30 A.M. --> 1:00 P.M. but caught fish at every stop.

Never looked at a dock but quite confident they'd be hunkered up under those as well.

Thanks. Brother just texted me and wants to go to badin instead. He doesn't like the hour and 20 minute drive to high rock. So probably go there.

Let me know how you do if you don't mind. Been itching to get out on Badin again as well.

IDK about EARLY....it's about time for them to be pulling off brush for the most part. Last year it was right after that tropical system in the first part of Oct. Theres always fish suspended and on brush at the same time but in the coming weeks they'll start pulling off wood for the most part.

I was on high rock 9/24 and fished some docks and bridges and caught a couple, but marked some fish out suspended right before going home. Water temp 75.

Tried cranks on Badin one afternoon last week and didn't catch a single crappie. Had Mr. Striper rip drag till he came off.

I’ve never pulled crank baits for crappie much. Do you use your trolling motor or engine and what speed is ideal? Do you use “Small size” bass crank baits?
