Some thunderstorms in the area now through tonight, under a flash flood warning. Stuff will be floating. Stay safe.

Hope to get in a few days on the Rock!
I pulled them the other Saturday in the tournament and the only thing I caught was catfish on a pink bandit 200

I'll be trying them in the morning. Going to start in my usual best spot on main lake near mouth of Abbots. Last crankbait run there in mid June I only caught 2 but should have not even put out because there was practically no bait anywhere in the main lake.

You shouldn't have any problem finding bait...... was out last weekend and the bait balls were consistently on the electronics. Thinking about switching it up this weekend and focusing on jigging brush I found last time I was out.

Thanks. No doubt I could catch all I wanted to keep and then some either casting plastic or slip corking minnows on brush but really wants to pull cranks. But if we're not doing much good we'll be on brush by mid morning. Good luck when you go.

How'd you end up? I got on a good brush and dock bite.... put some solid fish in the boat. Best part was I was fishing by 5:30 A.M. and off the water at 10: 30 A.M. with what I wanted so avoided the lake lice.

Caught 2 keepers trolling cranks so abandoned that at 9:00 and went to brush. But had tried several depths and colors before giving up. Caught a good meals worth of 10-11 in fish and a couple 1lb +. Had to be off water by 10:00. Guessing water had cleared up too much for open water feeding but definitely on brush. Talked to couple in a polar craft that also had no luck pulling bandit 300s.

Gotcha - When did you go? I've noticed a much better crank bite during the week vs. the weekend.... I think those fish get pushed down with all of the boat traffic and immediately relate to brush.

Wish I could go during the week to avoid some of the traffic.
