When do crappie spawn?
when do crappie spawn..I'll be fishing the Catawba River in Belmont, North Carolina.

Lots of resources out there for basic info. Search “Crappie Spawn Basics”. That said there are so many variables that come into play (water temp, weather, etc) it would be almost impossible to answer correctly.

On Jordan, many of the big females spawned in February. Water temp hit 62 and they did their thing. Turned cold and a second wave was around the end of March. A lot of folks missed the spawn this year because of the weather. It also had many of the fish confused as well.
