It is crazy the way the cats will eat those crankbaits, with this clear water right now the crappie are stuck to cover purdy tight
Saturday afternoon I trolled crankbaits catching bream, catfish, bass and white perch. Brought home 6 cats, 12 perch and 1 bream.
Sunday morning I went back to the same area and trolled crankbaits again. After losing 5 crankbaits, 3 from fish, I brought home 16 cats, and 5 large shellcrackers. Only threw back 2 bream and 1 bass and had a fight with 1 cat that missed the box.

I went the other week and out of 19 fish I only pulled in 2 crappie. Pulling double jigs
Tillery is my home lake. 20 minutes from the house but it is the worse lake around for crankbaits. Even when the crappie are scattered. At least you got some meat in the freezer.

Glad you're getting out on the water Nat. Crappiekrazy and I went to the beach this weekend. Boyce got a citation sheepshead and I got a couple 5 lber's along with 7 other keepers. 5 puffers too 'cause they kept messin' with the bait so they had to die....and they taste good.
One taste of the bait
is worth the pain of the hook

Puffers don't get thrown back, they get thrown to the grease
