Congrats to all for a successful and most of all safe event.
I'm sure everyone had a ball with lots of great fellowship.

It is surprising how much difference with or without a live sonar.

This tournament it was. Our tourney last month the guys who were in the mon live sonar division had a tad more weight than the live division.

Makes me wonder why the need for separate divisions?

Yes. Absolutely i use live scope. Too much fun not to use it. Lol. Touchy subject and everyone has their own opinion about it.

The seperate divisions allows people who don’t have livescope or are new with it an opportunity to get in on a tourney without feeling they are at a disadvantage. In our trail you aren’t allowed to use livescope two weeks prior to tourney day and no head unit allowed on tourney day for the non live division. It’s the anglers choice which division they want to fish.

Yes I do and I love it. My question was simply based on the results of the first two tournaments. Seems like a mixed bag. Yes Livescope helps me catch fish but as the first tournament showed you absolutely don't have to have it to do well. Glad to see any kinda tournament that helps promote the sport of crappie fishing and really love the idea of summer tournaments!

I will just say this and I going to leave it alone as for the first tournament there’s an old saying and I mean no disrespect to the winners of the non live scope but a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while. I would dare to say if you took 1000 tournament results over the past few years and asked how many were won without live scope you could probably count them on both hands, now that being said I am super glad these boys are doing these tournaments like they are with the 2 divisions and I am definitely going to try to fish some of them thanks boys for doing it for us non fishing, non live scopers lol
