Can you select the picture and then copy and paste the link? I could not find the picture you are talking about. Netting is definitely not allowed.

I have been away from jordan for 7 yrs now, but netting crappie will not help population.

Couple years ago they caught some friends from the south using nets across the haw river near 64! Maybe it's starting again?
GET IN, SIT DOWN, HOLD ON, AND BE VEWY VEWY QUITE!!!!!
Below the Jordan Dam down to the Buckhorn dam is has been legal to use gill nets in I think the first few months of the year. You can't keep gamefish--just carp & suckers mainly. I know because my Father and I put out a set of gill nets on the river about 35 years ago. Never did that again!!! Never so tired getting so many suckers and carp out of the net.

Is this the picture? It was taken down east and most likely spots. After doing some searching on Facebook this was the only one I could fine with a gill net.
Suckers ,
Any turtles ?
Just had another thought--the NC Wildlife does set a trap net on Jordan during the Winter every few years to survey the population and health of the fish. I haven't read the fishing regulations, but I think the only ones that can net in Jordan is the Wildlife service.
I seen it earlier too I didn’t see any crappie in net but the next picture insinuated that they caught crappie in net, they are trying to sell the nets I think
Sent from my iPhone using Crappie.com Fishing mobile app
Looks like a cast net to me. Legal to use for non game fish. Not legal for crappie.
Report it to FB.
