    Thumbs down Best trolling motor

I have an old motorguide great white 80 lb thrust. I would like to replace it with a modern trolling motor, that has all the new features, but still very tough. I fish the local lakes for crappie, but I also go to the coast several times a year and fish in the ICW. I am hard on equipment and need something that will hold up. Any and all input will be appreciated.

I can't speak for all motors, just the one I have. It does not have the latest features but it is an I-pilot. I have used it in the local lakes and many trips to the coast fishing for trout and red drum so it has had a lot of time in salt water oyster beds. If I had to replace it I would get another Minn Kota. My Minn-Kota is 14 years old.

Minn Kota Terrova salt water version (white). I got the fresh water version and absolutely love it. The price for these GPS motors is a bit of a sticker shock but after you fish with one you'll be glad you paid the $$$ and would gladly pay 2x. Spend time fishing instead of dorking with the motor all day long, wonderful!

Love my MK Ulterra I think they make a salt water version. It's got all the modern features including auto deploy and stow. Mine is about 6 year old and the only problem was the remote battery died, replaced that and was good to go.
I love not having to bend over to pull the motor up to stow.
