http://www.agr.state.nc.us/NCproduct...te.asp?ID=2563 If you have a farmers market around there you might also try that. I have heard it is hard to find pure sourwood honey. Says on this website the new crop won't be in 'til sometime in July.

    Exclamation Sourwood honey

I visited a beekeeper recently on a senior citizens trip. He said sourwood honey was a myth. Bees go everywhere to all types of trees etc. While they may go to a sourwood in season, they never go only to a sourwood. I have heard of sourwood honey all my life and have been with my father ( who had bees) when he looked at the light colored honey and declared it sourwood.
Now here is a link where you can buy sourwood made in NC. They say their bees go only to sourwoods.

Last Saturday I saw several quart jars of "sourwood" honey at Hwy. 18 produce in Morganton. Its just off of Exit 105 about 1/2 mile north towards town. If you care to drive that far, they had it last week. I think it was about $10 per jar. Hope this helps.
