    Default Randleman Lake

I can tell the fishing has been as slow for everyone else as it has been for me when the conversations turn to debates on boat types, battery chargers, and various other topics instead of fishing reports. I always learn a lot in those conversations though, so keep it up.

I’ve never fished Randleman Lake, but have a friend who lives in GSO and wants to go fishing somewhere. I would prefer crappie, but would be open to catfish or bass. I’m not setup for trolling of any kind. I assume the hot bite is over, so does anyone have any info or advice they would be willing to share? Also, is there a better option around GSO for a day trip at the end of this week?

    Thanks in advance.

High rock only 40 minutes or so from GSO. Jordan is about an hour. Both are easily close for a day trip.

Randleman is a very good lake for crappie try fishing the blow downs that are pretty much all over the lake or the bridges will hold fish, you have one in muddy creek and a couple up deep river.

Thanks for the info. I’ve heard of folks doing well long lining and have been thinking about beating the banks, but tend to go with what I know at high rock instead. I’ll let you know how it turns out if I get a chance to go. Need to see about these quarantine rules before I go with a non-house member I guess.
