Catfish lakes, pay or otherwise

Does anyone know of any pay lakes near Asheboro where my son could go and catch catfish?

Go to lake Jordan , if you go to old no more island near overlook ramp. Not big cove of overlook but last cove to left. On rite hand bank there is alot of rocks

Any of your local lakes or rivers would be great this time of year. I would try to catch some local bait such as bluegill or shad. Or buy some big minnows. Then cut the baits into chunks. Using local frsh bait will increase your catch rate 10x and your son will like catching the bait as much as catching cats.

Thanks everybody. He likes to bank fish. I usually catch a lot from my boat on jugs at Jordan and Badin but he prefers bank fishing since his wife is scared of boats.
