Default Some Screenshots From Today's Tournament on Jordan

The annual shad migration for Winter has happened and the crappie have followed them. Some very nice crappie were caught today and a lot of them. For us, today was more about quantity than quality. We caught a lot of 1-1.5 lb. crappie, but that doesn't win tournaments. You need several in the 2 pound range to get near the top when competing against the quality of teams that were out there today.

Here are a few shots that may give you some ideas of where to fish. The lighter "clouds" are schools of shad. Second picture shows lot of fish around. The guys using Garmin Livescopes said the crappie were quite picky and I can see why with all this bait.

Lots of shad and lots of crappie. Some of the shad in the bottom of the shot are up in the water column because of the shadow. Others are down low with no shadow.

For you guys with a Livescope, be interested in knowing if those are crappie in the small school to the left of the boat trail in the middle. Also, the brighter area in the upper left is shallower water--no fish!!

On Friday while pre-fishing, drove under the 64 bridge with a number of people fishing. Even saw the Chief out there. Got some interesting screenshots of the old 64 highway and bridge. Have a question for some of you that fish the 64 bridge--are those hickory shad in the bottom of the screenshot? The threadfin are obvious, but there was a huge mass of some kind of fish in this area on the bottom.
