    Default Two Questions

Which lake is better for crappie fishing, Jordan or High Rock? What are the best launch ramps at High Rock to get in the best crappie fishing area?

I would go to high rock. I like both hwy 8 flat swamp landing and the landing across from Tamarack marina. The landing at tamarack probably opens up more areas to fish like second creek and crane creek. Has been great up to a few weeks ago. Been tough for the past two weeks.

Thanks for the information. I think I will give it a try. Are there any stick ups or brushy areas on that side?

Are you cut off from access if you put in at either of those ramps?

Right now with the water down no. Full pond if you put in in Flat Swamp you probably can’t get to main lake. Wildlife ramp right now you can access entire lake. Full pond, a pontoon or T top may not make it under Bringle Ferry bridge but there is a ramp at the marina just across the road.

There is a stump field between second creek where you will put in and crane creek. As you come out of second go left around the island and is is on your left. Can’t miss it.

Went fishing Sunday at High Rock and caught three crappie, three cats and two bass. Since it was my first time on the lake I it was more familiarization than anything else. It was really hot so I only stayed for about five hours and fished mainly docks.
