No they should do fine now.
Is it too early yet to start trolling cranks at High Rock?
New technique to us that Randy (JigPuller) showed us last summer.
Thanks

Now is the time my friend. Get out there and start cranking. Call if you have any questions. Good luck to both of you

Are you guys pulling cranks in the main part of the lake or primarily in big creeks like flat swamp?? I'm hearing the entire lake is too muddy to even try fishing this week. Has anyone been out in the last couple days??

I’m gonna disagree with the above mentioned folks, as of saturday the water was still 78 atleast where I was and muddy, usually the rule is to wait till its 80 plus and atleast a heavy stain to clearer conditions, please don’t chime in and say you e caught em in orange mudd in 50 degree water cause I have too but for prime crankbaiting conditions I’d give It a week or two And stick with pulling jigs for right now, with this mudd and cool water they seemed to be higher in the column that what the avg guy is gonna pull a crank, 5-7’
Catching a few here and there. Trash makes it hard to troll. Perch , white bass and hybrid keep you busy . In Swearing the other day had 2 white bass, hybrid and crappie on at one time. Might try in the morning . Tight lines .
Thanks folks! Life got in the way of fishing again this weekend. I'll try again next weekend.
What size and depth crankbaits do you guys prefer on high rock?
I've tried pulling cranks twice. Both times were in second creek and crane creek. Had good luck with the black crappie both times. I was using bandit 300's at about 8 - 10' depth in 15' of Water. But I'm new to cranks so it was just blind luck. They say cranks are primarily for white crappie and since I'm basically only catching blacks I know I'm not doing it right lol. Not that it matters. My freezer is full and I always throw back every white crappie I catch anyway. Hoping to learn from these guys on here and trying to get better at reading my electronics. I'll get there one day.

I'm wanting to give this a go again this year too. Tried it a few times last year and thought I was going to pull the paint off the crankbaits before I got a bite. Switched over to Jigs and did good every time. My best catch numbers came off of Randleman Reservoir with the cranks.
