Very nice work brother and a fine slab indeed. Congrats on a good 'un. Your report might have been a little more gripping however if you would have sprinkled in a few syllables about your trip and maybe a measurement and weight or two on your best fish... and maybe a little something about how you were fishing tactically and maybe even what kind of time you had on the water.
I hope you'll keep after 'em. Thanks for sharing your pics with the rest of us.

On the water from 5pm to 7pm. Using a marabou jig would with 1/4 split shot, and live minnow on another rod with same setup. I used the panfish hook at Walmart, that small long one and 4 pound line with a swivel. I want to keep the setup as natural as possible.
Fish are suspended near the bottom from 10-15 feet, and they are pretty aggressive in 75 degree water. I trolled for a while. If you don’t get a bite in 1 min, just move .
That’s all y’all. Jordan lake slab good luck

Good job. The catfish are spawning now so most will be full of eggs.

Three weeks ago on Jordan our ratio of crappie to catfish was 1:1. Please keep and eat all you can.

Yep. The crappie fishing has been pretty poor this year. 😁

We have been wearing out the catfish on Harris the last two weeks. They are in 2 feet or less of water and hungry. The largest we've caught was around 14 pounds which is big for Harris. I need to get on Jordan and catch some channels to eat.
