Sounds like fun. I caught z beaver on a plastic worm, got it to the job boat. The beaver was upset about me hooking it so I cut it loose. I wasvhopeing for some beaver fur gloves
Went to the pond Easter afternoon for about 1 1/2 hrs. Caught a couple bass and kept 9 crappie. Let 1 go and 1 got off at the boat. This pond is about 1/2 acre, I put crappie in there but haven't had much problem with them trying to take over like a lot of people have. Have no idea what the water temp is but none of them seemed like they were busting with eggs but when I cleaned them some had eggs. While I was there I noticed another beaver was trying to get comfortable but that lasted til yesterday afternoon! Will post a picture later.

Nice size pond crappie. I'm fishing a hunt club pond in Halifax county and last week crappie were biting on almost every cast. All between 9" and 10 1/2". I did manage a 12 1/2". None of the fish had eggs.
I'd be careful about eating fish from a such a small pond that has beavers. Beavers poop in water and are known to carry parasites and they can release the infectious cysts of the organisms. If you swallow the water, you may become infected.
