If the creek channels have any depth would set up on them. I would not set up unless 10ft or more . A channel with 20 would be nice toward back of the creeks.

So I did quite well last summer nightstalkin bridges, main river ledges, creek mouths etc. This time of the year, however, while the fish are much shallower/further into creeks, what would one do? Just set up mid creek? Back of creek? Close to shore? What guidelines would one follow for spring nights? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

I certainly will! I just did the crappie fest as a newbie and I had a blast so I can imagine how cool NC/SC nightstalkin may be!

I used to be a DIE HARD nightstalker. hands down, April is the WORST month for night fishing. it can be good when you find a pile of fish moving in to spawn, BUT if they are on the spawn, the fish are hunkered down on their beds and not moving in the open water. I recommend setting up somewhere where you are in 8-15FOW and can cast on the bank somewhere in 2-4fow. casting on a bank can be deadly at night this time of year.
In may they start feeding heavy and can find them on deep docks, 2ndary points, brush, ect ect

I'm like Pete, this time of year isn't the best. Just my experience when water temp is 80 or above is the best time. Right now the fish are scattered around and difficult to find a pattern.
