    Default crappie fishing lake norman


    moving to nc soon ill live about 10 minutes from lake norman right off highway 77 im wondering if theres good spots t catch crappie under some of the bridges that pass over the lake on highway 77? for bank fishing idk thelake at all

    it sucks there are no creeks rivers near me t fish so looks likelake norman is my best bet for flathead catfishing and black crappie or possibly yellow perch?

    your best bank fishing will be at Lake Norman State Park, not much bank access anywhere else except at boat ramps. Norman has plenty of crappie...channel,blue, and flathead cats...white perch galore, not many and no size to the yellow perch. Excellent lake for Spotted bass, decent striper/hybrid during cold months. You will want to get a boat

    edit: you can bank fish at the "hot hole" the discharge canal for the power plant on NC150. There is another hot hole on the lower end of the lake but im not familiar with that one, I never go to that end of the lake, maybe somebody else can tell you if you can bank fish there

    so lake norman has no spillway? most massive lakes have spillways unless its a natural lake

    so you say flatheads are plenty ful in norman huh i hope so if so ill try to get a boat and find some coves to fish and use jugs is there any place t rent john boats on the lake? i know they have jet ski rentals but couldnt see anything about small boats
