After a week of trade shows, Meghan and I had forgotten about the tournament today. We took our time getting to the lake and only took one pole for each of us. We fished from 8:15-1:05. The fishing was very slow, but the fish were decent on average. We ended up with 15 for the freezer out of 18 total fish caught. The biggest 7 fish weighed about 10.5 lbs: one 14"; three 13"+; three 12.5". They were fat! Before noon, most fish were caught suspended 25-28' down within a pole's reach of 25-28'...in other words, suspended against very steep drops. In the afternoon, they seemed to move into the rocks and logs, and we moved back to the same bottom bouncing pattern from a couple weeks ago. Fishing one pole each, and using only artificial bait allowed for acute attention to contour and boat placement. If we weren't within a boat width from a steep drop, we didn't catch a fish.
Meghan caught the biggest 2 fish of the day as usual
Also, despite showing up in my computer's image file right-side-up, when I post images, they end up turned every way but right...any way to rotate images on C.com?
