Sounds like a good day. I asked the guy at Lake Higgins marina if he would go out with a Sharpie and put their speckles back on. He looked at me funny......

Well it's January, so I decided it was time to hit my favorite dock on Hickory this morning. If you've seen my posts for the past few winters it's really good in January due to the close proximity to deep water. I took a good friend of mine and from 9 til 12:30 we caught 30 crappies, 2 greenheads, and two big bluegills. We caught em on a variety of jigs between 10-20 feet deep over 30 feet of water. As Kay said in an earlier post today they were weirdly silver and white with very little markings. If it hadn't started snowing we would have stayed longer as they were still biting at noon.

Hit Hickory up again yesterday morning with my retired ex boss. We only fished 3 hours. I caught 13 and he got skunked. Looks like I'm gonna have to take him more often, I believe he now has the bug!
