I agree completely with "G", don't settle on something to save a dollar. You have to set a budget and stick to it or else you'll just look at it as a money pit.
I really like my Tracker Targa deep vee. I've had it for 6 years now and still love it like the day I bought it. They have raised the prices on these boats and it's kinda getting ridiculous. Very nice boats but just can't see them at $30k.
I see more and more of these boats on the lake every summer. The only problem I've had is with the Mercury motor. Thank goodness it was just a $20 float switch, which seems to be a common problem for the 2012 model 115hp.

Once you decide on what you want see if you can get a "Late Model" on clearance. It will probably only be 1 model year behind and will save some $.
I see you live in N.Y. , You probably will get a really good deal being that it,s the winter season right now. The only bad thing is that you,ll have to wait till April or maybe May to get to put it in the water to try it out. That would drive me nuts. Of course you did,nt say when you were going to make your purchase either.
I live in NY during the summer, I have a home near Elizabeth city in NC, so I will be buying it down there.

AK McCallum us to have very good deals and often had boats that were a year or two old on clearance. I think they are near Fayetteville. Might want to take a look at what they have. I have not been there in years so it may have changed.
Good Luck. Don't for get what MThook said when setting your budget. The accessories do add up in a hurry.

In my opinion, Sea Pro is making the best boat on the water for the money right now. If you finance, get dealer to work through BB&T. Great rates and easy to work with. 5 year bow to stern warranty and excellent customer service. Sea Ark is probably the best aluminum boat on the market but they are very expensive.
Like others have said, get what makes you happy. Don't forget about accessories. Trolling motors, depth finders and shallow water anchors add up quickly.
