Default ? About High Rock or Lake Wateree.

For the ones that fish both lakes,High Rock and Wateree. Which one be your favorite choice and why. This would be Crappie fishing.

I would say High Rock, for crappie, and I have fished both lakes many times for crappie. Just my thoughts....for blue cats... wateree!

I have fished both many times as well. For numbers high rock no question. For size wateree no question. Wateree is much better for stripers and cats as well. You are not going to catch over 100 at wateree like you can at high rock but overall they will be bigger crappie.

I've fished Wateree the last couple years. I like Wateree but would like to try High Rock maybe the next trip. If i do pick High Rock are there cabins to be rented on or near the water. I will be watching and seeing witch one to try the next trip.

size wise Wateree is better, but numbers wise high rock is tons better. Striper fishing, High rock size is better, but Wateree the #s are tons higher. go figure!!

I will tell you this, every fisherman has "those friends" who always beg for fish fillets. every fish i catch from Wateree I give away. THEY TASTE FUNKY OUT OF WATEREE!! tons better coming out of High Rock.

I recently got in contact with someone renting their lake house (with slip) on High rock at a very affordable price located at a prime location. If interested, shoot me a PM and i will put you in touch with them.

Any cabins down on Wateree that you would recommend for a couple of nights stay?
