From what I know there is no limit on size or creel for crappie. It may change tomorrow but I would still get DNR's say on it! I know you'll get a straight answer shortly from the experts.
Good morning and hello from East TN. I wanted to take a moment and ask if there are any size and creel limits on High Rock Lake?
I am president of East TN Crappie Club and the club is taking a members vacation out there later this year. I contacted the Wildlife Resource Division and the ladies that answered the phone could not tell me. They did however give me a name and phone # for one of the wildlife officers.
I have called him for 5 days straight and left voicemails each day with no return call. Frustrating!
Can you guys help us out? Also are the crappie safe to eat out of High Rock? We plan to bring a few fryers with us for an evening fish fry.
Thanks in advance for the help!

That is correct. No size or creel limit for now. That could change at a moments notice, BUT do not expect it to as the lake is still infested with crappie.
The fish out of High rock are great!

The wildlife officers are great at HR. Meet then earlier in the year. First time I've been checked in a very long time. They are stretched thin.......I wish NC would do more to put more Wildlife officers in the field. NC just doesn't care that much about recreational fisherman. TN has it made...
Here is the link the regulations in PDF

HR would fall under "All public fishing waters except those listed below" which is set to "none".
