    Default Rock Perch

Thought I would slip into the swamp for a try Fri morn. Got to area that I have found crappie before and the sonar was on fire with marks. Started dropping lines and could not get all lines in for rods going down. Several two at a time with double rigs. Perch, nice Perch, 9 to 12 inches. Lasted till about 10:30 am and then tapered off big time. Total 38 nice Perch but 0 crappies. 8 dozen minnows well used. Give them a try if you want they are in the S ecret area of the swamp..

It sure is exciting when you get on a hot bite like that. WTG!
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.

Offered them to a couple fishing from the bank at the landing. They gladly took them and started packing up to head home. He said you made our day, we going to have a fish fry tonight.

It's a whiter Perch caught at a lake in the piedmont of North Carolina known as High Rock.

We use to get nice fat ones from Lake Murray, but last couple of years the size has dropped off. These came from Lake Monticello and are the size we used to catch on Murray. They grow up past 2-3# but biggest one I've caught was around 1.5 lbs.
