Thanks for all the tips for a newcomer to NC who loves good Q. I'll definitely try some of these out.

We're down in Indian Trail so any recommendations for down here would also be welcomed.

The festival is not where you want to go to eat bbq. I was very disappointed last year. I like Lexington bbq and the wife likes smileys. You can get the burnt ends at Lexington that I love.

I was so disappointed. Maybe I missed something and there’s an area for the serious bbq connesieur. I would not go back.

Little Richards in Walkertiwn is legit with pulled pork, ribs, and Brisket and GREAT fried okra. My favorite is Stamey’s, but it has to be the one across from the Greensboro Coleseum. Great smoke flavor and #1 best hush puppies. I can go into Stamey’s and get absolutely stuffed, walk outside and smell the smoke and I just want to turn around and go in and eat again. They cook right out back.

X2 On Stamey's one of the best along with the BBQ House on Oak Island. The two best in the state so far. Little Richards in Clemmons is pretty good too. I would just like to live a little closer to Stamey's, however, my Dr. probably wouldn't like it much.

Tried BBQ center and it was good but not great. Stamey’s by a wide margin as far as the Q and hush puppies are concerned. As for the banana split. My wife and I will go back again and take the adult kids with us. It’s huge and really good!!!!!!

Prissy Polly’s is Kernersville has both Eastern and Lexington style. Not sure what Memphis style is, but I do like both that PP has. Good banana pudding too.
