We fished Tillery Sunday night after all the crazies got off the water. We kept 13, and turned the little fellows back. We couldn't find a fish in less than 20'.
Looks like they are in that in between phase. Looked for them shallow or shallower and did not find any. Tried deep around the bridges and still nothing. Finally found 6 or 7 very nice crappie in about the last hour around piers. They had to be deep between 16 and 20 foot on the main lake and they seemed to be holding close to the corner post. Nothing under that we found. All seemed to be right outside those corner post. Acid rain and other yellow and white jigs allowed to drop then reeled in very slowly were the ticket.

Thank you for the report
Micorps,
Been past Wateree this week? What does she look like. We were coming down to look at a few campgrounds tomorrow and wondered if it was even worth dragging the boat down. May just come and look and skip fishing this weekend.
cwright, havent been fishing much, tried lake gaston memorial day wreekend and fishing was terrible, didnt mark much for fish either. Havent been out on wateree since the shriners tournament but would be foshing brush piles if i did. Thinking of maybe a range day next weekend. Need to replace the winch strap on my trailer first. Tore it at lake gaston and drove all the way home with a ratchet strap. We need to get out fishing before i leave sc this fall.
