I picked this location because it seems like a natural funnel for fish moving in and out of the creek. The crappie will move up and down throughout the year. The hope is that with all the water depths covered, this place will load up and the fish would not need to move far throughout the year.
There is also a shallow flat about 40yds away as well, and deeper water in the back end.

Some people get kinda upset when people set brush piles especially when they are slow trolling for cats but man it's hard to beat a good brush pile for summer time crappie fishing. I've caught tons of crappie over Christmas trees that someone else has put out but I've also reeled in several trees while chasing cats. Love spending summer nights over brush with lights.
