Since the Striper Tournament was postponed until next week because of the Bass Tournament boat traffic. I decided to take advantage of the opportunity to see what effect it would have on the areas that had been holding Striper during the past week. To my surprise the bass guys must have mostly gone South of 150 Bridge boat traffic was no worse than any typical Saturday. I was expecting to see 100 Rangers come blowing by me wide open at 7.30! Never happen. I even had my phone ready to video the mayhem.
The First fish of the day was a nice 6.5 lb. Striper landed around 7.30 and the Hybrids were hungry too. Fished from the mud line below the State Park to 150 in 45-47 degree water. Caught 10 Hybrids and the 1 Striper landed a Tagged fish around 9:30 my Second this year. Had a triple around 12.30 that's tough landing and driving by yourself. The money from the tagged fish will go towards entry fee for the Old North State Tournament.
