Thanks for posting these pics. As a new guy, I thought my electronics were lying to me when I saw shots like this. We didn’t fare so well with numbers, but still had a blast. Maybe next time
Thought I would share some screenshots from yesterday's fishing on Harris. Charles and I met at 5:00 so we could have the boat prepped and ready to launch at 5:30. We were the first boat to register which gave us an hour to ride around the lake using our electronics to find some fish.
We took this shot at 6:22 AM and we found what we were looking for--suspended fish in shallower water. The problem is, after the sun came up and we started fishing, these fish disappeared. We could not find any suspended fish at all.
Charles went on Thursday to prefish and as you can see from the waypoints , he had found some good fish deep. We didn't get to this spot until lunch and we caught a few. Some of the guys told us the best bite was early. This is very near where a lot of the guys caught fish. At one time I could count around twenty boats in this area.
As some earlier posts have shown, shad population on Harris is doing very well.
