Default Bigeyecrappieman 1/27 Harris Lake Results

THE RESULTS FOR THE 1/27 HARRIS LAKE TOURNAMENT

The First Tournament Day of 2018 for The BigEyeCrappieman Series at Harris Lake N.C. started off a little cooler than expected. Weather man missed it by about 10 degrees, but 21 Teams showed up to test their skills of catching the Elusive Big Eye Crappie. 7:00am was the start time for fishing. The sun came out and a light South Wind rippled the water. The bite was on from the get go. Fish were caught 40 ft deep to 4ft deep. Water Temps were around 44 to 47 degrees. The Team of Robbie Johnson and Keith Johnson edged out The Bigeyecrappieman Rod King and his fishing partner Art Ferrell by 5/1000 of an ounce to win the first event of the year! Congratulations to them on a great catch. The Bigeyecrappieman and Art Ferrell of Durham won the Big Fish of the Event with a 2.430 lb Monster and had another 2.260 lber. So, The Bigeyecrappieman and Art Ferrell got to give back the 2nd Place money and The Big Fish money. Every team who participated got to draw for those places. Two teams who may not have done well on the water got blessed by not what they did but what someone else did for them. Just like what God did for us. We talked about the inexpressible Gift God gave us in His Son Jesus Christ; how words cannot describe how wonderful it is. A free gift to all who will accept it. We don’t deserve it but God gives it anyway. He took what was due us (The wrath of God) and placed it on Himself. Jesus, a sinless man took all of our sins on himself and took the punishment for us by being Crucified dead on a Cross. He was placed in a tomb and on the Third Day rose up from the Grave, showing us that if we believe in Him and what He has done, we receive the gift of salvation by faith. It’s not what we’ve done but what He did for us. And even when we die one day and are put in a box buried in the ground, we too will Rise up with Him to live forever With Him! We also talked about how on the Cross, Jesus The One who created everything that IS, said “I am Thirsty” and how sinful man gave Him vinegar and gall to drink. So, are we going to be one who bows down and accepts His free gift of eternal life, or are we going to be one who rejects him and mocks him and are condemned to hell forever? If you are one of those who has accepted the Free inexpressible gift of Jesus Christ, one day even though you are guilty of many sins, you will be Free to go and live with Him forever!! Fishing is fun but forever is forever!! Let’s be ready!! It’s not what you have done, but what Jesus did for you. It wasn’t on the water but on the cross! I really enjoyed fellowshipping with you guys on and beside the water today!
