Made a new friend today fishing at lake norman. Had a blast fishing with countryboy catching stripers and hybirds , just to let everybody know that country boy can fish.

I hear folks talking about them being good to eat. We caught a few white bass while crappie fishing that were pound and a half
to two pound. My fishing buddy wanted to try them so we kept and filleted four of them. He took them home and his wife tried
baking them. They couldn't eat them and thought they were going to have to sell their house the smell was so bad. We cut out
all the red meat. I read somewhere that the folks up north that eat them on a regular basis just eat the top half of the filet.
    Where did we go wrong?
    Tell'em I'll be there.

Not sure what happen, I have eat many white bass and love them, never had a bad taste. but I fry them after I fillet them and all way soak them in the refrig for at least 24 hours before i freeze them, do that with all fish.
