Thansk for the update. I may try Harris this weekend. I will get there early and try to fishing before the madness begins!
fished Harris Monday morning hoping that everyone had their fill of the lake over the weekend and I was either spot on about my theory or I was just very lucky, the lake was extremely calm so I figured I would try to long line out the back while I push on the front. To start off the crappie were extremely cooperative and around 0900 the white perch began to hit, ended up landing around 75 between the two species with a limit of keeper crappie. I also kept all the white perch I caught to help thin them out.
The jig of choice was a yellow road runner head with a black/blue body with a green curly tail, I would cast the jigs as far back as I could behind the boat and troll at about 1.0mph. I figured it kept the bait about 8-9 feet deep for when I slowed down to .8 I would drag bottom in 10ft of water, well that's all I got and I hope this helps someone good luck guys.

The past two weekend have been very successful for me, two weekends ago I pushed crank baits and did very well on the perch, however after baking them I decided I should go back and Target crappie. This weekend after switching to jigs proved to be the right idea, maybe I will see you out there next weekend.
