Default Lake tillery something a little extra!!

Alright guys tried some crappie at tillery yesterday, but ended up getting into a bunch of the white perch, had fun catching them, then I dropped my jigging spoon down and ended up hooking something a tad bit bigger, this was caught on 6 lb test and a 7 light action took about 15 mins and some help to get it in the net but we got it done. Weighed 24 lbs 12 Ozs

Oh yea the rod and drag done all of the work there wasn't much reeling. Lucky for me my wife and father in law were out letting my son ride the tube and just happen to see me fighting it and came and help me net it.

Nice cat, looks like rod has plenty of backbone. Did you say it hit your spoon? I am looking to add some rod holders like yours, where did you get the yellow ones and how far between the top prongs?

Those tillery flatheads will hit anything. Catch quite a few pulling cranks for carppie near Woodrun.

Yea that is where I was at ,the opening of woodrun when I hooked this one, I also caught a small blue and another small flathead before I caught this one they were eating them white perch up I think.

Nice! Congratulations. I love the action shot picture, it really shows what a workout that rod had.
