I think it depends on what you will use it for. Live wells work well in winter when water is cold. Summer I rather have fish on ice and bait in cooler using frozen water bottles so melting ice don't get to bait.
Has anyone used or know of a company that does marine fabrication in or around the fort Bragg area, I wouldn't mind an hour or so drive if need be. I am looking at getting a livewell installed on my 1648 alweld if that helps, also is a livewell even worth it or do you guys just recommend using a cooler like I have been? Thanks for the help and suggestions guys.

If you're on Facebook look up NC Marine Fabrication and contact Austin Sartin. He does great work.
I've got a friend of mine that use him and he said that he does good work. He's got 2 shops one in high point and one in Wilmington
you are close to ak mccallum and they do livewells on aluminum boats, or you can buy it already made up from them and install it, a little work installing the pump and drain, not bad thou.
