    Default Mixed variety 4-30

Hit the local pond yesterday with good buddy David (HD3) as you will see his mug shot here in a bit.

Had a tank full of bait and fishing by 9am. Striper didnt cooperate as I would have expected but a few were caught to include this 26 incher.

moved off to freeline some rock piles and got ate up by spotted bass, AND Dave somehow managed a 2lb stud (spawned out).
Moved off and dropped anchor on the river and picked up 2 cats to include this 30lber (released). Trailered up by 3pm.

I realized why i HATE fishing weekends this time of year. by 1pm jet skiers and tubers were out in full force.

final tally was 7 striper, 15+ bass, 1 crappie and 2 cats. As long as the water keeeps moving from all the rain, the fishing i think will just get better

Full day 1/2 day or evening Striper/Crappie fishing trips available at a very affordable price for
Lake Norman, Badin, Wateree, High Rock.

Very good fish. Nice crappie. Getting old and retired you can pick your days to go fishing, so I do not fish any more on weekends. The downside is that it takes me two days to recover.

Nice! My complaint is the wakeboard boats. Designed to MAKE waves big enough to almost flip a pontoon boat broad-side, and (usually) blasting hip-hop or country music so a skier 75 feet behind the boat can hear it. Yep. i prefer weekdays!!!

Nice catch. Always fun to catch a verity in one trip.

That's another reason I fish at night in the summer. Most, not all, wake boats have no respect for anyone else on the water. It's always fun to take my young daughter out and have one of them go by blasting music about every female body part and foul mouth language you can think of. Asked the DNR guy what can be done and there's no law against it so his hands are completely tied.

Again, nice job on the water Pete.
