    Default Norman Long lining

Decided Sunday afternoon on spur of moment to run down to Norman and long line for a few hours. Caught a few last week and thought I'd hit it again with my son.

We had a blast, just trolling the flats. Fished from 4pm to about 7. We caught 30+ crappie and handful of bass/perch. All in 12-18 FOW. Not whole lot of size - most in the 10-11 range, some smaller and a couple 1.5 lbers

Water temp was 58F. Hardly any boats out at all - was nice having the lake (that lake) to ourselves. Norman Long lining

Good job bluegrass. Glad you got to spend some time with your son. Been doing any striper fishing lately?

I've been housebound for last couple months on bathroom remodel - so not whole lot of striper fishing this year, but I did finally snag some second hand downriggers for good price (thanks to teamhooksetter) and I'm excited to give them a try.

I did catch a fat little hybrid while longlining.

Nice. what kind of downriggers did you get? I finally got mine mounted on my skiff a few months ago. I ended up with more in the swivel mounts and track so I can remove than I paid for all 4 downriggers. lol.

These are penn 600 or 625s with swivel base and gimbal mounts.
