Default Lake norman 7-14 for 1 hour, 1 rod, 1 limit

picked up my boat from the shop this morning (friends house) from its service and fixing a few odds and inns. and decided to make a test run to get all the kinks out prior to pulling her to the coast in a few weeks. brought just one rod, 1 jig and after i ran around briefly, I fished for less than 1 hour. lots of fun. started casting at 915. had boat on trailer and heading up the road just before 1030.

released about a half dozen more, and after 2 floated away not being able to handle the hot water, i called it quits.

I HATE fishing in july/august especially in the middle of the day, but may just have to give it a go a little more often....as long as the boat is in town!

Thanks for the report! I would have had a hard time leaving when they're biting that good! It was a good, responsible call though!

I was fishing a dock above the 150 bridge in about 25ish fow that put off a lot of shade. in my opinion right now, the fish pull into deep docks with LOTS of shade vs docks with brush, but both is good. fish about 3-5 ft off the bottom.
