We just did a night stalk Saturday on Lake Hartwell.
The wind was bad and the crappie was very slow, but the Hickory shad was on fire. Are they any good to eat?
We only kept a few for catfish bait. But would like to know if they are edible.
Has anyone started to night fish? If so have y'all been having any luck?

Thank a Veteran every chance you get.
What I've heard they're not every good but some people on here eat them. I caught some early this year to use for bait as well
Will not be long before I do my first night trip. As the heat and boat traffic increase during the day I start fishing at night more.
Soon

I'm working this weekend but would really like to hit Catawba creek or 7 oaks area. I believe you might find a few hiding in there.
Been wanting to go do some myself, haven't found a willing fishing partner.
