We had a tough day on Badin today, finally spent some time casting for bass, only caught four. We could not locate the crappie, shallow or deep today, it has been a long April. Hoping May brings better results.
Has anyone had any luck for shallow crappie at badin this spring? My favorite spots are not producing this year. I was hoping that it hasn't happened yet. Thanks for responding!

Shotgun LIKED above post
I fished it Saturday and only caught four crappie. Those were 18 ft. deep in 22-24 fow. I think we scared them off, trying to anchor the pontoon because of the winds. I'm going tomorrow morning again,by myself. Btw, we caught bream,shellcracker and white bass on worms and all of them had eggs in them except the bream. The white crappie were full of eggs also. There's an open seat if anyone cares to sit in it.....
Wish I could join you, I am grateful for work to be completed.
That is good to know. I am hoping to go this weekend.
I PRACTICE CATCH & FRY---WHEN I CAN FISH AND CATCH:D
I went back today,put in at Old Whitney and went to my hot spot and they were back there between 14-18ft in 22 fow .Caught a few and went cruising up to the dam. Two guys were catching catfish and crappie on the bottom right along the break water from the turbines. I said "to myself"what the heck and i setup a heavy duty dropshot rig and ... "Well now,don't you see", low and behold them crappie started to hit it. It was like bottom fishing at the beach, cast, tighten line and wait.... Strange but true and it was sure nuff hot today. Don't know when i will get back...It was fun while it lasted.
That sounds like a fun trip;
