Default Looking for some Eastern N.C. crappie anglers

We need some guys from this part of the state to start reporting on here. I am now the only one who is posting from this part of the state. Before the new crappie board was started last year, there were quite a few guys from this end of the state posting. I don't know what happened to them. Now I see that the SC boys are moving back to their board. This board is liable to dry up. We don't need that to happen. CF

    Hello CrappieFarmer
I am new to this crappie board but not brand new , in other word I have been posting on this board for about a mouth now. I often wondered about the eastern Carolina anglers myself and your posting was a a very welcoming site. I am from Hubert which is east of Jacksonville and south of Swanboro. I will keep in touch with you and i will post some of the hot spot around this area. I will be trying the cherry point area this week in. Later

    Good deal RDJACKSON5,

That will help knowing someone else is fishing some of these coastal rivers. I have been posting on the virginia board for a while now because there is a couple of fellas there that fish the most N.E. part of the state around Tulls creek up close to the currituck sound. Until now they are the only ones that I know of. Before the new board there were 4 or 5 guys here posting regular but they disapeared. Anyway, we need more guys here. Thanks and Good Luck. CF

    hello crappiefarmer

I'm new on the board and fairly new to crappie fishing in nc. lived in fl for years and enjoyed some really good speck (crappie) fishing. I live in little washington, not far from you. I've been trying my hand in the tar/pamlico river, mainly tranters creek and blounts creek. Not having much luck but the ones I have caught were really nice size in the 1 1/2 to 2 lb range.
So I probably can't be of much help but if you don't mind sure would like to listen in and learn all I can about the eastern nc area. It could be that my technique, baits etc. are all wrong for this area, just don't know. I'll just listen in and if I score anything significant I'll certainly let you know. any advice about locations for fishing would be appreciated.

dennybob, welcome to the site. If it can be learned about crappie fishing this is the place to learn it.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

    Sound good Guys
I think we have a lot of crappie anglers (CA) here in the east its just a matter of them/us hitting this board and encouraging other CA to use this board. Jack I do lot of fishing in both Jordan and Falls Lake because I have family there, but I only get in that area only about once a month. I do agree there is better fishing in those areas but it is not pratical for me to go everytime I want to fish so I have to settle for what Eastern NC can offer, in my opinion is not bad.
Crap-King maybe we can get together a do some fishing on one of trips to Bouge as long as it's not durning the Spot run or the Croaker run. I do love to pull those those hard pulling fish off the ocean floor.
Let keep in touch guys and keep hitting the board and tell your friend about this site.

I live in Maple Hill, beween Burgaw and Actionville. This past summer I bought a place on the ICW between the Pungo and Alligator Rivers. The reason I don't post much is because I don't catch much! The days start off crappie fishing but after only catching one or two usually turn into catfishing. No matter what time of year there is never any problem filling the cooler with them. I haven't tried the Alligator yet, haven't heard of anyone crappie fishing there but have heard there are some. Maybe I will try it this weekend. Worse case is I do about the same as always and start rock fishing.
