Side note. The 10" one is not in that pic.
Jordan was rough today! Not the water, but everyone I saw and spoke to was having no luck. I left with two nice ones and a 10" to make it a meal for me and my wife. I was trying to only keep 11"+.

where did you fish today? I went to jordan too, but only caught few smalls with jig.
I was the guy in the kayak looking lost as heck at Ebenezer. I may have spent too much time paddling as my back and arms are sore as hell today. But, I will be back out there today. I'm meeting a friend for a bit out there.

I do want to say, there were quite a few boats out there yesterday. I was fine with that since a good majority were very quick to slow down coming through the bridge area, BUT! I noticed a trend for the ones that would come flying up to the no wake zone and slam on the breaks... They were long wide shallow bodied boats with shiny paint... Imagine that. I just don't see the point. It's not like they didn't know what that zone means, right? Also, maybe it's just me, but I was taught to give other boats, canoes, kayaks, or anyone else plenty of space or slow down and pass. I had no less than 10 times where I had to reposition myself so I would t get swamped in my kayak. Can someone explain why some people just don't have common decency or common sense?

Many of the bass guys believe the lake is only theirs and don't have respect for others.. Because they spent their life savings and in debt up to the keesters for that shindig boat!! One day they will grow up and realize the pleasure and relaxation of fishing .. That's what it is about:-) appreciate what God has given us and be good to it and fellow man.. Niw if we cut in front of them going down the bank... Then all he&@ would break out!! Lol
I'm in a pontoon boat and I don't like it. Can't imagine being in a kayak. I would think it smart to have a flag and a neon vest to enhance your profile. You guys probably do that, but I have seen some that were near invisible until you get to them, and I'm not going 50mph - more like 17mph.
Boating laws in Ga. require anytime you are within 100' of another boat, dock, or just about anything else its idle speed only. I hate to ask for more laws but safety is the issue here. Its just common sense to be courteous to others on the water.
I only fish the two best days of the year, when its raining and when its not!
I agree, there are times where I have seen some kayakers that are barely visible until you get close enough to see them. But I always slow down for other boaters that are fishing, it is just what I was taught. If someone flies by you then maybe you will get your chance at revenge later on during when you are heading in but I always hate going to tillery, trying to catch bream around the edges, and a bass tournament lets out.. looks like the ocean in about 10 minutes.
Fishing is a science, study, experiment, fail, and succeed...then start over tomorrow. Yeah I'm a science guy.

I always try to remember, though, that a boat on plane is going to make a smaller wake than if they cruised by with more hull in the water. Now, what I really can't stand is the wake boats - designed to erode the banks - blasting their music across the lake. Yes, I am crotchetty.
