Seaforth ramp and Crappie at the Jordan Lake 64 bridge
Fairly new crappie fisher here and fish from my kayak. So its not really possible to go up and down the lake quickly.
So I typically have fished the Farrington bridge area and have noticed most the boat and fish have moved on. Where do the crappie go this time of year. This morning the water temp was 49 -warmed to 51ish but very little bite near the Farrington bridge.
Do most of the crappie fishermen move down to 64 this time of year or somewhere else on Jordan? Also with the high water is the Seaforth ramp open yet?
Thanks

The crappie bite is big at Farrington in October and down at the 64 bridge by December. If it's a cold winter, then a lot move on down to the S-curves. I'm generalizing and with the high water, this is not a normal year, but this is the average movement of the crappie. The crappie follow the shad migration and the colder it gets, the shad go to the deepest parts of the lake.

Are you talking about the "S" curve basically opposite (West) of the New Hope Boat Ramp? I think either Vista Pt ramp or New hope are about the same distance to that area but Vista a shorter drive for me. I'll move further south, always fun to see new areas of the lake fish or no fish!

Yes, the S-curve starts just below the New Hope ramps. Lots of good places to winter-fish near both ramps as well.
