Thread: Reports Hickory 1/9 and Kerr Scott 1/10

Tough weekend for stripers. Fished Hickory Sat for about 3 hours. Son had a basketball game so had to leave early. Trolled for about two hours marking shad deep in the creeks from 10 to 20 feet. Nothing. Changed over to shiners last 45 minutes and wife caught one 29 inch one before we had to leave. Fished Kerr Scott yesterday. Not bad when we got there. All shad in main lake holding at 30 foot so had to set up the down rigger. Fished about 30 minutes and the wind began to howl. It was whitecapping almost into the boat. Could not hold the boat steady at all. Did pick up one hybrid at about 16.5 inches. Tough weekend, but still beats work.
