I honestly think you may have been on the wrong part of the lake or not deep enough. Fish are being caught at 28-39 on the bottom.
Fished Sunday expecting to have a blast based on reports but fishing was super slow. Caught four total. Anyone do better? Boats nearby seemed to be having an equally poor go of it.

were you marking bait? fish?
Oh yeah, tons and tons. You would have thought I would have filled the boat based on what was on the fish finder. Technique used was basically drop a minnow or jig rig to the bottom, crank the real 2 - 4 times and drift through the fish. I did try fishing at various depths sometimes I'd hang the bait 10 feet off the bottom.
We caught 4, with another 5-7 good bites that didn't hook up. Bite seemed lite, if you weren't on the pole as soon as they hit then they wouldn't hook up. Probably should have held the pole more so I could feel the tap and set the hook.
Like I said all the boats seemed to be having a slow go of it, so I was curious if anyone got them good on that day.
No but I noticed you said the bite was very light as it was for us sat. I don't see teal and I missed many because I just didn't see it. If the water temp drops a little the fish should really start to bunch up. The tourn. sat was won in 28-30 ft on the bottom with jigs tipped with minnows. I'm sorry to say I wasn't smart enough to figure that out.
