Good grief!!! The Ebenezer ramp walkway is almost submerged.
I cross the 64 bridge every evening to go home from work and there have been tree stumps and trees that are so large as to have the silhouette of a kayaker.
Had to be in Chatham County this morning so rode by Jordan and Harris after my work was finished. Below are the pictures. Good news, Harris is ready to fish. Water is clear and maybe just a few inches above normal if that many. Saw Slowtroll (Freddie)'s truck in the parking lot, so I know he is getting ready for Saturday. Looks like should have a good day for practice fishing and the tournament.
Jordan is another story. Many of you have heard me say that my Grandparents farm was under Jordan lake and they had to move in the early '70's. All my life I have been in or around this lake and land. Personally, this is the highest water I have ever seen. These pictures are from Ebenezer and in the picture of the ramp, notice the trash cans where you take the boat out and prep to leave are partly underwater. It will be a while for this lake to settle down. But, and a very important point, this lake is keeping residents in parts of Fayetteville and Wilmington from looking like some of the pictres I am seeing from the Midwest.
