Default Jordan Army Corp temp is 59 today

Not sure if this will help your fishing any, but I looked at the Army Corp website for Jordan and the lake water temperature for today is 59 (down at dam). I looked back to last year and on Dec. 11, the temp was 53. I would say the crappie are transitioning to their wintering grounds, but may not be all the way there yet.

What do y'all look for when they're transitioning?

The crappie will follow the river channels as they move. That is why the Farrington bridge is the hot spot in October and early November, then in December they have moved to the 64 bridge. It seems the warmer days have them staying up in the coves longer and higher in the water column. I saw a lot of bait in the 15' range yesterday and I think most of the day I was fishing under the crappie.
