If i remember correctly a 10 watt led is equivalent to a 60 watt incandescent, you should be plenty good.
If so, what wattage? Is 18 watts enough for an old man to tie 4# line? I've always used a clamp light with a 25 watt/12 volt incandescent bulb, but it's time to upgrade.

I replaced all the interior lights in my boat with led bulbs get the cool white or bright white they are brighter than the soft white is. For tie on hooks n jigs at night I bought a small UV flash light I keep in boat makes 4 lb. look like 30 lb. We even made a UV light to put on side of boat to fish with it has white light in the center with a remote to turn the white ones on n off works great and keeps a lot of bugs away to.
Fish don't care how much you spent on your boat!!
yea I had them on before I made one that floats and has UV on top of it

Are the uv lights good for interior of the boat? Do they keep the bugs away?
They don't keep bugs away but they don't attract as many as white lights will as for inside the boat don't think they would do much not unless everything in boat was florescent colors lol. I stay with white in boat but have them on as little as I need to.

So, if you are using the UV light, I assume to see your fishing line, and then turn on the white lights, does your line still glow or does the white light override the Uv?
I've got blue leds on the side of my boat, the yellow hi vis line lights up great as well as the rod guides
We only use the white lights when needed. Like for moving around, to see the bank, or net a good fish rest of he time the white ones are off.
